I buy a lot of stuff from beautyflash.co.uk
Save a fortune on dermalogica, they sell loads of other salon-type brands too
bullet GirlOutdoors on Monday 11 January 2010 - 10:47:30
Oh, and is around £10 delivered bought on t'internet, rather than £20 in the chemist for 200ml
bullet GirlOutdoors on Monday 11 January 2010 - 10:46:48
BioOil is a great moisturiser, obviously can't vouch for any firming qualities!
bullet Ali1511 on Monday 11 January 2010 - 10:32:34
I slather myself in body butter. M&S lemon one is gorgeous - smells edible but its not lol.
I should use it more often than I do though
bullet KateP on Monday 11 January 2010 - 10:27:46
hi all,

I'm slathering myself with Bio-oil. It seems to be good for moisturising really dry skin - arms & legs feel much better. Decided to go for broke and put it on face as well! Seems to be improving skin - magic stuff!

I'm also 54 and now have a turkey neck but as my chin is receding it seems to be receding with it - in this weather polo necks cover it up:-)
bullet lyndylou on Monday 11 January 2010 - 07:50:47
Yep that`s right. Apparently its the best moisturiser going. Ask a hand milker! You can use it anywhere! I tend to stick to what I know as my skin reacts to new stuff.

Lmao Lyndy, for cows??
bullet lyndylou on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 23:20:39
Udder cream comes recommended too. Apparently it can be ordered on the internet!
bullet Ali1511 on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 21:15:20
I heard it was good for eye bags, never tried it though
bullet susannah on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 21:06:09
Thats a new one on me and yes would love to hear how you get on but actually am keen to get some myself. Lets both give it a go! We can compare notes later. Good luck!
bullet allyballyp on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 20:31:27
If you read Girl Outdoors thread you will see that even the youngsters can have a problem with loose skin. I have become a bit obsessed with my chin and have started to use Haemorrhoid cream!!! (On my chin!! Not anywhere else) I have it on good authority that it’s good for tightening things up I will let you know if it works. )

Susannah -whispers*how old are you?* i`m 54. No probs with neck but tummy apron becomes a problem if I lose too much. Private message me if you need to chat.

bullet susannah on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 19:30:22
Thanks Ali. I will have a go at getting to grips with Forum. Nice to know something this supportive is so close. Will continue to use as I have a v long way to go. S
bullet Ali1511 on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 19:25:16
PS you'll be amazed at how supportive people are on here. We all want the best for each other. Its quite incredible that you get soo much support from strangers really.
bullet Ali1511 on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 19:24:23
Susannah if you blog or post on the forum, you will get responses from other people.
I know that skin has less elasticity as we get older, and things can look a bit empty at first, but I'm reliably informed within 3-6 months things will perk back up
All I can advise really is patience and lots of moisturiser
bullet susannah on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 19:22:47
j.cauldwell - same question. Hope you can help. Much appreciated...Su
bullet Ali1511 on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 19:22:17
Fantastic news, well done you.
I'm back in foundation, came off plan (not that I was on it much) in Nov, gained 2 stone but almost lost one since Monday
Managing to remain abstinent, its not easy but I keep getting on the scales to spur me on
bullet j.cauldwell on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 19:20:18
Hi ali, i am full of cold but brilliant ty! I put half a pound on over xmas and new year! That had 2 more pounds has gone! How are you doing hun?
bullet susannah on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 19:20:02
Thanks. I joined LL early Sept and have had a good weight loss but no one in my class is as old as me! I am seeking an older (retirned) lady to chat with as I have a couple of problems I am not coping well with, e.g. turkey neck! Would love to chat with someone who understands this and also my ups and downs. What do you think Ali? Su
bullet j.cauldwell on Sunday 10 January 2010 - 19:19:06
