Hi All

Have been missing from the site as everytime I post, I do because I am back on packs, and then simply fall off again.

However, this weekend gave me the kick start I need (was going to write I hope, but that is not positive!). I had a frends wedding to go to (evening do only), and just assumed I would wear a particular dress in my wardrobe (one I wore at the beginning of the wear).

Well when I tried it on, it doesn't fit... I mean, I could do it up, but it was super tight and looked awful. Now I know I am overweight, but this dress fitted me at the beginning of the year (although at tiny bit snug), and I am exactly the same weight!

So what has happened! Well my theory is that although my weight has yo yo'd for the last few months (fallen off packs constantly), my body has changed. The lean muscle that I had, has changed to fat, and as muscle is heavier than fat, I have actually got bigger

I can probably say that I am a size 16 now and it depresses me. I was at one point a 12, and now have a wardrobe full of size 12's that no longer fit, a smattering of 14's that I suqeeze into and 4 size 16 items.

I am a little bit scared that the next size is an 18, and before I know it I will be 21stone and a size 26 again.

As of 1st July 2010, I weigh 14st and 6.5lbs on my home scales. At my smallest I was 11stone 12lbs (during rtm), and Ideally I would like to get back to 12stone.

I therefore have 2.5 stone to lose, 35lbs. I think I want it, and therefore I am going to shift it.

Day 1 today!

Wishing you all good luck as well.

xx

Charlee, you are doing the right thing by getting agrasp of this now and with the right incentives, more counselling and a desire to put your health first...you will succeed - perhaps you just need to 'learn' over a longer period. No one ever said this was going to be easy...and I now totally understand that the weight loss part is the easiest...the eating again to maintain the hardest. I had one great weekend last weekend where alcohol and a couple of not so good food choices meant I put 4lbs on. The good thing from my perspective is in 3-4 days by restricting myself back to basics - fish, white meat, and baseline veg and salad I have lost that again - small gains are molehills, the loss of which are achievable through subtle eating changes, its when it becomes a st or more that it becomes a mountain to climb and we waiver. Get back on plan get to within your 7 lb window and then you too can do the small tweaks! Well done and best of luck

Foundation = Lost total of 59 lbs
Developers = Lost a further 9lbs in 3 wks = 68lbs total
RTM = Lost a further 10lbs = 78lbs lost total.

Started management/maintenance wef 10 Aug 2010. Aim is to keep my BMI between 23.4 and 24.6...here goes!

Charlee.... u will get thru this rollercaster ride... well done for admiting to yourself that you need to get back on tracks, it's normally this self denial which ends up lasting for months... until we get to our lowest !

Don't lose focus... u will get back into your size 12's... I was reading your blogs when I started LL in Mid May.... And used them as inspiration, if I can get thru this and beleive me I am a serial lapser ! My body must be saying... Vee wht the hell r u puttin my body thru... we keep going in and out of ketosis and i am fed up...so yes can defo relate to you...

Just decided that I am sticking to plan for this month... and see my loss.. and take it from there... 1 stone makes a massive difference.... in your clothes n dress sizes.... commit for the next month and set another goal date from then, otherwise the journey may seem like its too far away for u....

i know you will do fab and get back into ur 12's and bin ur 16/18's ! u can do this.....

we'll all here for support and advice..... By the end of August...u shud be 2 stone lighter and will defo fit into ur 12/14's come on...... xxxxxx

Vee

Total Loss to date Week 1- 4 - 7 kilos.... (with a 2 week blip of lapsing ) ... back on track...

Hey there chick, looks like you and I are on the same journey

You probably heard I'm doing CD and having 1 to 1 counselling, although neither of these things are common knowledge on Facebook or outside of very close friends/family.
Don't know if you are back at LL or using up packs, but the counselling might be an idea for you too, to stop the gain/lose cycle perhaps?
xx

Charlee, you are not alone! We are all on this rollercoaster ride with you, and are all struggling with these cycles.

I find popping on here for a browse helps to keep me focussed and the incentive to continue one day at a time.

You've done it before, you know you can do it, you WILL do it.

Stay positive, and blog away

I'm on the roller coaster ride too! I lost just over 3 stones two years ago. I did RTM and maintained for about a year. Then old habits started creeping in and I have put on over a stone. I have been messing about with packs and LL Lite - 3 days on, then off, then a binge. I just can't seem to stay focused. I have all my size 12's that I can't get in to, and 14's are getting tight. Going on holiday in August and realy want to feel great - but I don't know where the determination has gone.
This is SO much harder second time round.

Height: 5ft 1in
Starting weight: 12st 5 1/2lb
Starting Size: 18/20
Age 39
Weigh-in Day is Thursday
Goal in foundation - 3 stone

Week 1 - 7.5lb
Week 2 - 3.5lb
Week 3 - 3.5lb
Week 4 - 2.0lb
Week 5 - 3.0lb
Week 6 - 3.0lb
Week 7 - 2.5lb
Week 8 - 3.0lb ( 2 stone)
Week 9 - 4.5lb
Week 10-4.5lb
Week 11-4.0 lb
Week 12 -1.0 lb

Week 1 RTM - 5.0 lb ( 3 stone)

RTM completed and maintaining at 9 stone 7

Charlee, do you go to a gym/do any exercise? if you weigh the same you could probably tone up and still lose a few extra lbs just by going swimming a couple of times a week or spending 20 mins on the x-trainer and treadmill?

To be honest, it seems a shame you've gone back to LL as a first attempt at losing it now whereas it should only really be considered a last ditch effort when nothing else has worked.

BTW, you looked yum in your ball gown pic that you posted in the B&A pics
